Proverbs 15:13 NLT

A glad heart makes a happy face; a broken heart crushes the spirit.

Proverbs 15:30 NLT

A cheerful look brings joy to the heart; good news makes for good health.

Do you like driving in the snow and rain? That's probably an absurd question. Even tho I still can't fathom how some people actually like the snow and winter... I'm sure their appreciation for it doesn't mean they want to drive in it! I for one hate driving in the snow and try my best to only drive in it when absolutely necessary! I pray traveling mercies for those who often have to drive to their jobs, homes, daycare or whatever tasks their day requires. I pray for their safety because many don't know how to drive in these conditions. I'm basically saying these fools don't care and will still continue to speed when the roads are bad!

I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and most people know we have 'funny' weather. It could be snowing today, be in the 60's two days later and then more snow. WOW!!! There have been times where we still had snow in April but none come November and December. I remember back in February of 2013, we had a severe weather storm on a Tuesday that was in effect until sometime that next Wednesday. Traffic was undoubtedly backed up with many cars at bumper-to-bumper formation. As I was doing my housekeeping duties the following day, one of lady's office I clean, I asked how was her drive home. She told me she rear-ended someone. As she continued to tell me what happened, she began to laugh and smile telling the story. My immediate response was, "At least you can laugh about it". Sometimes, that's what we have to do! We have to smile and laugh our way through situations. Even though she was driving very slow at a far distance from the car in front of her and pumped her brakes, nevertheless, ended up hitting that car because they were going down a hill. Her reason for laughing was because it was a newer Mercedes. Out of all cars she could've hit, right?! We both were in agreement - her accident may have been a lot worst, especially considering how badly the roads were. Thankfully, nobody was hurt and she wasn't driving recklessly.

Attempt to smile and push past what you're feeling! A smile does great wonders! A smile is just as effective as a frown. I chose scriptures from two different verses in the Book of Proverbs, chapter 13. One talks about a glad heart making a happy face and the other says a cheerful look will bring joy to the heart.  If we focus more on things that bring us happiness and meditate on all the things we have to be thankful for, we wouldn't ever frown or complain again! Thank You, Jesus!!! ♥

I pray you are Blessed & Encouraged in the Lord 2day!
